Alcove Press is looking for an ambitious, connected, and energetic Senior Editor to find and champion nonfiction works from the most influential voices in our world today. Whether publishing inspiring narrative or empowering practical nonfiction, the ideal candidate will be a hands-on tone-setter. Ever curious, they understand what readers want now and what they’re going to want next. They collaborate with thought leaders to publish the kinds of books that start movements. Top candidates will have a track record of success working with experts whose works range from compassionate self-help and psychology to timely memoirs that explore the heart, mind, and spirit. They should also have experience with and a keen interest in developing book projects from scratch to meet needs and improve lives in ways that those experts have yet to consider. An entrepreneurial spirit, sense of ownership of projects, and close relationships with agents and authors are essential. This role reports directly to the Publisher.
